Don Bosco Youth India

The Don Bosco Youth Movement - a special expression of Don Bosco's pedagogy. Don Bosco realised the importance of getting together to form groups. In Don Bosco's life that seemed to arise spontaneously, as an expression of his temperament which was naturally inclined towards being open to people and making friends. Da Mihi Animas: Theme song for the Bicentenary of St. John Bosco

Oh oh... oh oh... oh oh oh oh oh oh
Da mihi animas...
Oh oh... oh oh... oh oh oh oh oh oh

You were fighting, you were praying
Ever since you were a child you were dreaming
And you found that only kindness can get us anywhere.
Like a father, you gave shelter
And hope to the young who were lost in a cold world
Through your eyes and through your hands, they knew God was there.

SYM Rocks!

SYM Rocks! is a musical written for boys between the ages of 9 and 16 years. It is themed around Don Bosco's world-renowned pedagogical method, the "Preventive System". While presenting the Preventive System to the audience, the musical also intentionally publicizes the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), a special expression of Don Bosco's pedagogy. The story unfolds in an interesting and gripping manner, with characters and situations that the audience can easily and immediately identify with. There is never really a dull moment, with emotions running high throughout the duration of the musical.

SYM Rocks has been scripted by Haydn Dias, a past pupil of St. Dominic Savio High School. Haydn also wrote the lyrics, the vocal arrangements and produced the backing tracks.
